It is common to feel anxious about job interviews, exams, meeting new people or having enough money to pay the bills. Everyone experiences anxiety.
Sometimes the feelings of anxiety simply become too much. We may feel isolated and unsure what to do next or where to turn.
Common symptoms of anxiety include:
- Feeling constantly nervous and on edge
- Having trouble relaxing
- Getting very annoyed and irritable
- Feeling nauseous or having a ‘nervous’ tummy
- Feeling hot and sweaty’
- Feeling breathless
- Finding it difficult to switch off’
