We were pleased to host Dr Tim Carey, a leading figure in Perceptual Control Theory (PCT) and Methods of Levels (MOL). Tim visited us at our Southwood House base in Salford on Monday 6 July and provided a brief outline of both MOL and PCT; with a demonstration of MOL in practice, as well as a Q&A session. Dr Warren Mansell, another leading figure in this field, was also in attendance.

MOL is a therapeutic approach that is based of Perceptual Control Theory. MOL focusses on helping people to be more aware of their conscious and subconscious conflicts that may cause distress and interfere with their day to day life. Through this support the individual can then work to resolve their difficulties by reorganising any competing priorities or goals.

MOL has been shown to be useful for a lot of people struggling with emotional difficulties, mental health problems or just day-to-day problems.
