Placements

Volunteer Clinical Placement

Six Degrees offers placements within the service to enable practitioners to gain experience delivering low intensity CBT based interventions. While on placement with us you will have access to patients for clinical work and attend our internal group supervision delivered by a senior practitioner. Attendance at regular supervision would be mandatory but how often you would attend supervision would be negotiated with your allocated mentor.

To join us on a placement we would require the following essential criteria, including the desirable criteria where possible. If you meet the essential criteria please contact the service by email to request a Placement Application Form which you would complete and return to our email address.

You will then be contacted by a member of staff to discuss your application. If you have any questions about this process or criteria you can contact the service by phone on 0161 212 4981 or email us at sixdegrees@nhs.net.

As the focus of our clinical work is on CBT-based interventions we are unable to offer placements for counselling or psychotherapy at this time.
